He is best known for his commentaries on Aristotle’s Metaphysics and Nicomachean Ethics.
Themistius (c. 317 – c. 388 CE) was a Neoplatonic philosopher who served as a tutor to the Roman emperor Theodosius I. He wrote commentaries on Aristotle’s Physics, On the Heavens, and De Anima.
Simplicius (c. 490 – c. 560 CE) was a Neoplatonic philosopher who wrote commentaries on Aristotle’s Categories, On Interpretation, Prior Analytics, Posterior Analytics, Topics, Sophistical Refutations, Physics, On the Heavens, De Generatione et Corruptione, Meteorology, De Anima, Parva Naturalia, Metaphysics, and Nicomachean Ethics.
